Mary E. Scholer, OTR/L, Executive Director directs the highly regarded Simoneon Pediatric Development Center, for children needing Occupational Therapy, and other services to treat delays in development, learning, coordination dysfunction and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD's).

Occupational Therapy is the cornerstone of Simoneon Pediatric Development Center's services. 

 Occupational Therapy is described by Mary as:
"being about helping individuals (relative to their age and choices) reach their potential and achieve maximum independent functional ability in their daily occupations of self-care, work and leisure activities.  For a child, these daily occupations are involved with self-care, being a student and being an effective player in life - mentally, socially, emotionally and physically."

• Mary E. Scholer, OTR/L, Executive Director took her initial courses in Sensory Integration from Jean Ayres herself, the mastermind behind the diagnosis and treatment children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). SPD is also known as Sensory Integration Dysfunction-SID or Dysfunction of Sensory Integration-DSI.

• Simoneon has been in existence since 1975 and became a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization in 1981.

• The Simoneon Center provides services from the heart to both the children and their families.

• After so many years serving in Silicon Valley area of Northern California, we know that hundreds of children and their families are leading better lives because of the mission of Simoneon Center!
